Anyone can
learn math whether they're in higher math at school or just looking to brush up
on the basics. Many people are intimidated by math, but learning to be good at
math is a matter of putting in the effort. As with most things, the key to
improvement lies in hard work and plenty of practice, along with the ability to
do some memorization.
1.
Start with understanding and memorization. Although the
school system seems to discourage memorization as a way to learn spelling and
math, it can work. Only you remember the basic definition and the themes, you
can use them as you want, and understanding helps you remember and tell you
where you can use the themes and how to use them.
2.
Practice. Much like we didn't all drive a car perfectly the
first time we tried, math also takes practice. It is not necessary to be exact,
just to work on math. As your math skills improve, you will get closer to the
actual price. Make random math problems for yourself on a sheet of paper and do
the math without using a calculator. Then, use the calculator to check your
work. Getting to be good at math is mostly just a matter of memorization and
practice.
3.
Don't say "I think I knew that." To learn, you
must do the work yourself. You should know what you know and what you don't. Math will never cheat you, but people can cheat themselves. Many copy the solutions manual or a friend’s work
and think "I see how it's done. I can do that." But actually you
still can’t solve the problems, even you remember for a short time, you may
forget easily. The proof of your ability to do it is doing it all by yourself.
4.
“Why ” all the time. Learn how to ask why when you are
puzzled. Some themes in math are hard to understand at first you learn them, so
ask yourself why the themes come out: what they are about; what they can do;
what the limit. If you can answer all the questions. Congratulation to you. If
you don’t think by yourself, if you still can’t, ask somebody for help.
Learning math well just needs understanding; remembering;
practicing and a little bit patient. Try as you can, everybody can learn math
well. So do you have any unique way to learn math well? Please teach me.
